We Got The Grant! Arts in California Parks

Greetings and Kwira bá!

We have wonderful news: We Got the Grant!

We just received an Arts in California Parks grant from California State Parks, the California Arts Council and Parks California. 🎨🌳

With this support, we are creating Elderberry Jam–The California Flute Revival. This series of workshops and concerts will be led by #Tongva flutists Lázaro Arvizu Jr. and Summer Wilson, of the @californiafluteduo. Together, we will revitalize this Indigenous flute endemic to Coastal and California Natives, helping all participants reconnect to the land and culture of California, and to each other.

Thanks to our partners @CAstateparks, @CalArtsCouncil and @ParksCalifornia for their support.

We’re thrilled to support Elderberry Jam and amplify Indigenous voices through the arts. And there’s more exciting news to come! We would be honored if you would follow our work on facebook and instagram, and ask that you reach out to get involved or support this work. Our Board of Directors and amazing team would love to build our network organically from the connections and friendships we’ve cultivated over the years.

Thank you and matétera bá! Enjoy your week and drop us a note!
